Diesel Programs are offered at the request of the employer.  Basic diesel classes to advanced classes can be conducted in a diesel lab in Ruff Creek, PA taught by Trainer, Gene Davis, Approved Diesel Instructor.

3-day Bureau Approved Underground Diesel Instructors Course

To all Bituminous Mine Operators:

There are currently three methods to receive Underground Diesel Instructor certification for Pennsylvania Bituminous Mines.  (See enclosure)

The MTTC three-day instructor training course is approved by the Bureau of Mine Safety.

This notice is intended to announce to industry a Bureau-approved course which is provided through a federally funded training grant which means there will be no cost to the participants.

Upon completion of this course, successful candidates will be provided a Certificate of Completion from the MTTC.  Although the course subject matter has been approved by the Bureau, participants are still required to submit their certificate and resume to the Bureau for final approval as a Diesel Instructor.
